Abstract

It was a LERA annual meeting like none of its 71 predecessors as COVID-19 ravaged and Black Lives Matter protests raged.Program chair Adrienne Eaton, dean of the Rutgers University School of Management and Labor Relations, welcomed 543 attendees and presenters into LERA’s big Zoom tent. When we put out our call for papers for the LERA 72nd Annual Meeting, I thought the biggest problem was climate change,” Eaton said. “So we decided on a conference with the theme of sustainability.” The official title of the annual meeting was “Social, Economic, and Environ-mental Sustainability, and the World of Work.”
