Abstract
Both private and public businesses have been using outsourcing as a cost-saving strategy since the end of the 20th century. Businesses outsource functions as varied as cleaning, laundry, data protection, and human resources. Vendors advertise the benefits of outsourcing as saving money and having experts in noncore operations take the lead in increasing efficiency.
