Legal Considerations in Using Technology in the Workplace

Abstract

As the historian Christian Lous Lange said, “Technology is a useful servant but a dangerous master.” There is no doubt that technology has rapidly changed our society. Use of technology, including smartphones, virtual assistants (e.g., Amazon Echo and Google Home), and even robots may make our lives easier in many respects, including in the workplace. In fact,  businesses have come to rely on technology to increase efficiencies, save costs, and ease logistical burdens.
