Abstract

The 2006 Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) research volume contains eight papers dealing with key issues in contemporary industrial relations. Originally, and following a long-standing tradition of LERA and its predecessor, the Industrial Relations Research Association (IRRA), this volume was conceived intending to provide reviews and summaries of leading industrial relations research that appeared during the last decade or so.1 While this volume’s authors do provide some of this review and summary, they also go further, presenting new empirical evidence in their respective areas of expertise and offering what might be termed “futures forecasting.”
