A world map with dozens of colored push pins hangs on my office wall. The pins mark not typical tourist destinations but countries I have visited in the past five years in response to a growing international desire to learn techniques for settling disputes. As a member of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service's (FMCS) global outreach network, I have been an ambassador for conflict resolution.
