Abstract

Women of color are likely to hold the key to the U.S. labor movement. Because many work in low-wage jobs that cannot be moved offshore, they are likely to increasingly be the face of union members. But what do we know about organizing women of color? What are its particular challenges? How have unions made a difference in these women's lives? What obstacles do women of color find when working within the labor movement?
