Work in the intensive care unit (ICU) is amongst the most challenging in the medical world. In caring for acutely ill patients who often have complex needs, teams of highly specialized health care professionals must process a continuous flow of information, share knowledge, and coordinate their activities to deliver safe and efficient patient care.
