Abstract
These days, it is hard not to think about retirement. After the collapse of the stock market and 401(k) balances, bankrupt employers abandoned traditional pension plans and left many workers with significantly smaller benefits than they were promised. At the same time, the country has been immersed in a heated discussion over whether and how Social Security should be reformed.
