Abstract

The theme of the 2007 LERA Annual Meeting was “Conflict and Cooperation in Industrial Relations.” While conflict and cooperation describe the content of industrial relations (IR), they are also part of what an academic will face when studying in the field. This article, by co-conveners of the 2007 LERA PhD Consortium, discusses some ways that conflict and cooperation will likely play a role in our future careers.
