Abstract

Looking back over the thirty some years that I have been active in the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA), my strongest impressions and memories are of the people who made the organization a beacon of light in the dynamic and often conflict-ridden world of work. At both the local chapter and national levels, LERA meetings provided a forum that always increased member awareness about labor relations and often contributed insights that helped resolve difficult disputes. LERA’s future lies in tapping into the expertise found at the chapter level and in continuing to offer a forum for dialogue on workrelated issues.
