Abstract

It is well known that over the last two decades, foreign direct investment(FDI) in China has increased substantially. Total accumulative FDI inflows rose from $1.8 billion in 1983 to $691.9 billion in 2006. It is estimated that FDI in China currently accounts for 10 percent of all FDI flows in the world.1
